Hubert! Hey everyone, here is some new work that my brother and I worked on over the past few weeks. It’s a narrative piece that’s also the introduction to a story I’m writing about a little guy named Hubert who goes on a search for why he grew up without a father. It’s still a long ways away from finished but I wanted to share what I’ve been so busy on recently. Also a big thank you to Nathan Perry for painting/designing the faux-princess in the third frame! To talk a little bit about the process- I came up with some thumbnails of compositions which I sent to Mike, and he painted the figures and/or backdrops then sent them back to me which I printed and cut out or turned into silhouettes then built and photographed the scenes. For the most part, they aren’t manipulated with the exception of some color correction for continuity.
